Damascus, especially the Old City, is a really beautiful place. Unfortunately, I hadn't the time to visit other places in Syria, e. g. Aleppo.

Sri_Lanka

Sri Lanka, my love and my passion! Such a rich country, such a rich history, a rich culture, an unbelievable beautiful nature, really friendly and sympathetic and also very intelligent and qualified people on the one hand. On the other: Unsolved ethnic conflicts between Sinhalese majority and Tamiles, human rights violations (ai), poverty. We established a development partnership on an electronic information system (decision support system) / data warehouse called eduSTORE between UCSC (University of Colombo School of Computing) and HIS Hannover (Higher Education Information System Agency) and I'm sure, this collaboration has a great future. And we also try to establish a project to help the people in the former war zones in the North of Sri Lanka (MITSU).
